Massive Selector presents the bay area stop of the BBE/!K7 Label Tour

We’ve got a special party for you this weekend. We’re bringing DJ Spinna back to town for his SF tour stop for his new album on the BBE/!K7 label. In this day and age of blending musical genres, DJ Spinna has been an early creative force in bringing all forms of dance music into an inspiring journey for the mind, body, and soul. Testament to his unique sound, he has worked as a producer or as live performer with music artists around the world including Michael Jackson, De La Soul, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, DJ Krush, Shaun Escofery, Zero 7, Soul Live, Masters at Work, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, and Francois K.

DJ Spinna’s latest album, Here To There, is an eclectic journey through the various musical tastes that have come to define the DJ Spinna sound. As the latest installment of the Beat Generation Series which also includes King Britt, Jazzy Jeff, and Pete Rock, this album spans from hiphop to house to an ode to west african drum tradition.

Rasta Cue Tip, Yoshito and Massive Selector residents pantyROBber, 100 Proof, Malex, and D-Reel will be on hand to provide more sound system love with their own special blends of hiphop, funk, house, and dancehall reggae.
