Massive Selector was proud to welcome The magnificent DJ JAZZY JEFF to San Francisco on Friday September 12th for a headline set at The Summit @ Club Six.   Jeff brought his legendary brand of Philadelphia Soul, Hip-Hop, and House ..rocking the packed club until afterhours.

DJ JAZZY JEFF, born Jazzy Jeff Townes, is one of Philly's best-kept secrets. Though you all may know him as one of the first hip-hop popstars, Jazzy Jeff is more than your average DJ… He’s a pioneer who took turntable artistry to the next level during the Golden Age of Hip Hop. He was credited with inventing the Transformer Scratch and the Chirp, two essential tools in any DJ’s bag of tricks. In addition to being regarded as an influential turntablist, Jeff founded A Touch Of Jazz in 1990, one of the most revered production houses in America.

Responsible for hella production credits, A Touch Of Jazz has worked with De La Soul, Slum Village, ?uestlove, J-Live, Musiq Soulchild, Bilal, and many more. ATOJ was also responsible for the landmark “Who Is Jill Scott?” the groundbreaking debut by Philadelphia’s most celebrated soul diva. Talk about versatile, Jeff has even dabbled with House music, and recently collaborated with Kenny "Dope" Gonzales and Little Louie Vega, aka the Masters At Work, on the Nuyorican Soul project - easily one of last year's best records.
