on saturday, june 14, 2008, massive selector is proud to present a brand new funky event to kick off summer in the city… “DOIN JAMES” a James Brown Jam featuring for the first time ever on the west coast, all the way from sweden to the bay, stockholm’s finest music makers… FREDDIE KRUGER aka RED ASTAIRE (G.A.M.M.), MAD MATS (RAW FUSION), and PURE P (UP HYGH, YES!). they’ll be in san francisco to celebrate their latest release “DOIN JAMES” a James Brown tribute compilation of remixes and re-edits by SIMBAD, DAZ-I-KUE, SPIRITUAL SOUTH, RED ASTAIRE and more! we’ll dedicate the night to the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, rockin’ classic cuts, remixes, re-edits, and b-sides from the greatest entertainer all night, so JB fans rejoice… san francisco’s finest, J-BOOGIE (om records), PROOF (massive selector) and DJ CHICKEN SKRATCH will also be in the place, so let’s make it FONKY!
